An Original Chocolate Chip Cookie.

  • 1/2 cup light, packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white, granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup 1-1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the sugars, butter, vanilla, vinegar, and baking soda until light and creamy. Beat in the egg. Fold in the flour and salt until dough comes together. Then fold in the chocolate chips.
  3. Take about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie, and roll into a ball. Space the cookies about 2 inches apart. Place on the baking sheet, and repeat for the remainder of the dough. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until very lightly golden around the edges and still soft in the center. Allow the cookie to cool for 2 minutes before serving. Enjoy 🙂
