A warm latte for that time of the year

“Batticuore” literally means “heartthrob” in Italian. And Batticuori are one of my absolute favorite cookies by Mulino Bianco.

My Italian teacher first introduced me to Mulino Bianco (meaning White Mill) last semester in a course appropriately titled, “Let’s Eat, Italy!” From then on, I have been obsessed with Mulino Bianco’s line of cookies. There’s something about the flour they use that makes them so crumbly and addicting!

Not to mention a perfect addition to a latte…

The Batticuore Latte.

  • 1 shot espresso
  • 3 tablespoons semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 3/4 cup steamed milk
  • Whipped cream ((optional))
  • Batticuori cookies from Mulino Bianco ((for garnish))
  • Pirouette cookies ((for garnish))
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles ((for garnish))
  1. Mix the melted chocolate with the espresso shot in a mug. Add the steamed milk, and top with fresh whipped cream. Top with Batticuori cookies, Pirouette cookies, and sprinkles. Enjoy 🙂
