Personal Fudgy Brownie Trifle.

Fudgy Brownies

  • 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cups white, granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • chocolate, shaved
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together chocolate, butter, and sugar.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt, and mix until just combined. Pour batter into a greased 8 by 8 inch pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (this brownie recipe will make more brownies than for just one or two servings). Cut brownies into small cubes once done baking.

  3. To assemble trifle, add a few brownie cubes to bottom of glass. Top with about 1/3 of the whipped cream, top with more brownie cubes, and then another 1/3 of the whipped cream.

  4. Top with even more brownie cubes, and then the remaining third of whipped cream. Sprinkle on some shaved chocolate for garnish and Valentine’s Day sprinkles. Enjoy 🙂
