Wild Berry Smoothie Bowl (+ video)

A refreshing snack especially on those hot days!

Smoothie bowls have been taking the Internet by storm.  What’s great about them is that you can clean out your fruit and vegetable drawer in your fridge and baskets of any seeds or nuts you might have in the pantry.  Basically anything goes!

Measurements are not as essential for this recipe as they are for other ones on the blog.  If you prefer sunflower seeds over pumpkin seeds, go for it!  For this Wild Berry Smoothie Bowl, I just put together flavors and toppings that I think would go together, but you can of course mix it up however you would like.

This was actually supposed to be an acai bowl.  I went to the grocery store, asked probably about five grocers if they had acai powder, and some looked at me like I had five heads.  That’s when I decided this was just going to be a smoothie bowl 🙂  However, if you want to turn it into an acai bowl, add 4 tsp of acai powder to the frozen berries in the blender, and blend.

In addition, you can replace the honey with a fresh banana.  I just find that in this recipe, unlike my Tropical Smoothie Bowl (HYPERLINK), the honey goes best with the berries.
